Polmaily Bothy is an architecturally-designed conversion of an old smithy and stables, with exposed stonework and beams. Careful renovation has retained much of the building’s original character. The Bothy stands detached at the edge of the traditional farm steading, with parking and a pretty patio garden in front.
The interior is equipped to a high standard. With a wood-burning stove, it’s a cosy retreat during any season. Its wide doorways, level flooring and a downstairs bedroom and shower make it particularly convenient for disabled guests.
Historically, the upstairs of the Bothy provided accommodation for the unmarried farm hands. Today it has been converted to provide a comfortable double and twin bedroom with an additional WC.
Heating is by total control electric central heaters (included) and wood burning stove. Bed linen and towels are included, as well as the first load of wood.
A refundable householder’s deposit of £100 is required.
One well-behaved pet is welcome by arrangement.
